Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, FireEye).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage security policies, procedures, and controls in alignment with industry standards (ISO, NIST, PCI-DSS).
- Investigate and remediate security breaches, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure deployment of applications and infrastructure.
- Conduct security awareness training for staff members to reduce human error.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for security automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
