Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems, networks, and applications for vulnerabilities and threats using SIEM tools
- Conduct incident response investigations, including forensic analysis and remediation
- Develop and implement security protocols, policies, and best practices
- Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on client systems
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Create detailed security reports and executive summaries for stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and cybersecurity trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CEH) preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and security tools
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and encryption
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage flexible schedules effectively
