Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and incident reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls across cloud and hybrid environments
- Analyze threat intelligence feeds to proactively identify emerging attack vectors
- Lead forensic investigations and root cause analysis for security breaches
- Train employees on security best practices and compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in security operations, threat detection, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification required
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewall, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP security services)
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Excellent written communication and report documentation skills
- Ability to work independently with flexible schedule management
