Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct threat hunting and forensic investigations for security incidents
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts (Python, PowerShell)
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Create comprehensive incident response reports and remediation plans
- Stay current with emerging threats and cybersecurity trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience (SOC, threat analysis, or incident response)
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in security tools: SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, and firewalls
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and compliance frameworks
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work independently with flexible hours
- Valid U.S. government security clearance preferred
