Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate potential threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents, documenting findings and recommending preventive measures
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks, policies, and compliance reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure adherence to NIST and CIS frameworks
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry trends to enhance defense strategies
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation with flexible scheduling options
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in security operations, incident response, or threat analysis
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency with security tools: SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection solutions
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security principles
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize threats in high-pressure situations
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
