Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing
- Develop incident response playbooks and lead security breach investigations
- Implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security into cloud and hybrid environments
- Create comprehensive security documentation and compliance reports
- Stay current with emerging threats and attack vectors through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, SOC, or threat analysis roles
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CompTIA Security+)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Wireshark, Nmap, Metasploit)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and zero-trust architecture
- Strong analytical skills with ability to prioritize threats in real-time
- Excellent written communication for reporting and stakeholder updates
- Ability to work independently with flexible scheduling requirements
