Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be the first line of defense against cyber threats. You will analyze network traffic, investigate anomalies, and respond to security incidents with speed and precision. You will work closely with our engineering and development teams to harden our infrastructure and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel) to identify and respond to threats in real-time.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify system weaknesses.
  • Implement and manage firewall rules, IPS/IDS configurations, and network segmentation.
  • Lead the incident response process for security breaches, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
  • Ensure strict compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA regulations through documentation and audits.
  • Collaborate with IT operations to patch vulnerabilities and configure secure access controls.
  • Provide security awareness training and guidance to non-technical staff members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or IT security.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, GCIH, or CCNA Security are highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and common network protocols.
