This role offers hybrid flexibility with 3 days in our state-of-the-art Reno office. You'll collaborate with industry experts while leveraging our fully equipped security labs featuring advanced threat detection tools and forensic workstations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices
- Analyze logs and alerts to identify sophisticated cyber threats and attack patterns
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate security vulnerabilities
- Prepare detailed incident reports and security documentation
- Stay current with emerging threats and countermeasures through continuous training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency with security tools: SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and Windows/Linux systems
- Experience with incident response procedures and threat intelligence
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
- Valid U.S. driver's license for occasional client site visits
