Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk/QRadar) with provided monitoring equipment
- Conduct incident investigations and forensic analysis using company-provided forensic tools
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS) with supplied enterprise hardware
- Perform vulnerability assessments using licensed scanning tools provided by the organization
- Develop security documentation and policies using company-standard templates and software
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using provided collaboration platforms and hardware
- Stay current on threats using company-paid intelligence feeds and research tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with security monitoring tools (Splunk, ArcSight)
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or willingness to obtain with company support)
- Proficiency in network security protocols and architecture with company-provided lab equipment
- Experience with incident response using forensic tools (EnCase, FTK) supplied by employer
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) with access to provided compliance software
- Strong analytical skills with ability to work independently using company-provided resources
