We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cybersecurity Analyst to join our elite security operations center in Orlando, FL. In this critical role, you will act as the first line of defense against cyber threats, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our data assets. Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events via SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel) to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure and applications.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents, including malware analysis, forensics, and root cause determination.
- Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems to enforce strict security policies.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to patch vulnerabilities and secure cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Generate detailed security reports and documentation for compliance (GDPR, HIPAA) and management review.
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats and security trends to proactively improve our defense posture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in a SOC or Security Analyst role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), common attack vectors, and system architecture.
- Proficiency with security tools including Nmap, Wireshark, Metasploit, and SIEM platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and team collaboration.
