Responsibilities
- Monitor & Detect: Continuously analyze network traffic and system logs using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential security breaches and anomalies in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and containment of security incidents, coordinating with IT teams to restore normal operations and document lessons learned.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in infrastructure and applications before malicious actors exploit them.
- Security Implementation: Configure and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and endpoint protection solutions to enforce robust security policies.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure adherence to internal security protocols and external regulatory standards (NIST, ISO 27001) through regular audits and policy reviews.
- User Education: Collaborate with HR and management to conduct security awareness training and promote a culture of cyber hygiene across the organization.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certifications: Active CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or information security analysis.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM platforms, endpoint protection, and cloud security (AWS/Azure/Azure Sentinel).
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders and write clear security reports.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure during critical incidents.
