Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using provided SIEM tools (Splunk/Symantec)
- Conduct threat hunting and forensic investigations on enterprise networks
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS) with company-provided equipment
- Generate incident response reports and remediation plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden systems
- Stay current with emerging threats and MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Participate in red team exercises using company-provided attack simulation tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (required)
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Experience with network security tools (Snort, Wireshark)
- Knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Strong written communication for incident documentation
- Ability to work rotating shifts with company-provided equipment
