Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools.
- Assist in the triage and documentation of security incidents.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and basic penetration testing support.
- Perform log analysis to identify suspicious network activity.
- Update and maintain security policies and incident response playbooks.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement security best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- CompTIA Security+ certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to relocate to Columbus, Ohio.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
