Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools.
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct daily vulnerability scans and log reviews to identify potential threats.
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed incident response reports.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to perform root cause analysis of security breaches.
- Participate in security awareness training and policy enforcement initiatives.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new cybersecurity technologies and protocols.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS) is highly preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (if applicable).
