Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and investigate potential threats
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed logs for compliance reporting
- Assist with vulnerability scanning and patch management cycles
- Participate in tabletop exercises and security awareness campaigns
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices
- Stay updated on emerging threats through industry research
- Support forensic analysis during security investigations
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in IT/Cybersecurity (or currently pursuing)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Fundamental knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CompTIA Security+ certification preferred (training provided)
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operations environment
