Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security systems for suspicious activities and potential intrusions.
- Assist senior analysts in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Respond to security incidents and assist in the containment and eradication of threats.
- Install, configure, and maintain firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
- Document security incidents, audit logs, and system configurations for compliance reporting.
- Conduct security awareness training for internal employees.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and defense strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong interest in cybersecurity concepts, ethical hacking, and network security.
- Familiarity with basic networking principles (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
