Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection
- Investigate and document security incidents following established protocols
- Analyze network traffic patterns to identify anomalous behavior
- Assist in vulnerability scanning and penetration testing initiatives
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls
- Create and maintain security incident documentation
- Participate in tabletop exercises and security awareness training
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 operations coverage
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Valid driver's license and clean background check
