Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events across the network infrastructure to identify potential threats.
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and participate in penetration testing simulations.
- Document security incidents, root causes, and remediation steps in the SIEM system.
- Analyze log data to detect anomalies and trends in user behavior.
- Collaborate with the IT and compliance teams to ensure adherence to industry standards such as NIST and PCI-DSS.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and the OSI model.
- Familiarity with security concepts such as encryption, hashing, and authentication protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Any security certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+) is a plus but not required.
