Responsibilities
- Real-Time Threat Monitoring: Analyze network traffic and system logs using SIEM tools to detect, investigate, and respond to security anomalies and potential intrusions.
- Incident Response Management: Lead the coordination and execution of incident response plans, ensuring rapid containment and remediation of security breaches.
- Vulnerability Assessment: Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests to identify system weaknesses and ensure timely patch management.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to regulatory frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA through documentation, audits, and policy enforcement.
- Security Architecture Support: Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Access Control Management: Manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) protocols to enforce the principle of least privilege across the organization.
- Security Awareness Training: Collaborate with HR and IT teams to develop and deliver security awareness training programs to reduce human error.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or IT security analysis.
- Certifications: Active certification such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, Security+, or GIAC GSEC is strongly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and common attack vectors.
- Tool Proficiency: Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze complex data sets and deduce root causes of security incidents.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
