Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events through SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel) and conduct triage to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our network and applications.
- Respond to security incidents, investigate root causes, and implement remediation strategies to prevent recurrence.
- Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions to enforce security policies.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees and develop documentation regarding security procedures and policies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as SOC2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a cybersecurity role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and network protocols.
- Proficiency in using SIEM platforms (Splunk, IBM QRadar, or Azure Sentinel).
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for automation and log analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
