Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network infrastructure and applications.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems to maintain a secure environment.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, including malware infections and unauthorized access attempts.
- Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
- Prepare compliance reports for internal audits and external regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
