Responsibilities
- Monitor & Detect: Continuously analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools to identify potential threats and anomalies in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security breaches, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Network Defense: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs to enforce network security policies.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and risk assessments to identify security gaps.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA by maintaining accurate documentation and audits.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on security protocols and phishing awareness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CISA is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint protection solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
- Tools: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, and network protocols.
- Problem Solving: Ability to think critically under pressure and troubleshoot complex security issues.
