Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity and security breaches.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Respond to and mitigate cybersecurity incidents, including malware and ransomware attacks.
- Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Document security incidents, analysis findings, and remediation steps in detailed reports.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security patches and ensure compliance with standards (NIST, ISO).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency in using security tools like Splunk, FireEye, or Snort.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance (if required).
