Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate cybersecurity incidents and coordinate rapid response protocols
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts for threat detection
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Generate executive-level security reports and compliance documentation
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry trends (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST frameworks)
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and endpoint security
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and cloud security (AWS, Azure)
- Experience with threat hunting methodologies and malware analysis
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize under pressure
- BS in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to obtain/maintain DoD 8570 compliance (IAT Level II)
