Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring & Response: Monitor security systems and alerts (SIEM, IDS/IPS) to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and risk assessments to identify system weaknesses.
- Security Implementation: Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection tools to safeguard network infrastructure.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and resolution of security incidents, breaches, and data compromises.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations (NIST, HIPAA, GDPR) through policy creation and audits.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, or network administration.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or similar security certifications are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, Splunk, or similar scripting/logging tools; strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Linux, and Windows.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills.
