Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM platforms, firewalls, and endpoint protection systems
- Lead incident response investigations and coordinate remediation efforts during security breaches
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies, playbooks, and compliance reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and hardening measures
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security enhancements
- Participate in security audits and ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS frameworks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, SOC, or incident response
- Strong proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and security automation platforms
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CISM, Security+, CEH) preferred
- Expert knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to prioritize and escalate critical incidents
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and patch management
