Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct incident response, including containment, eradication, and recovery of security breaches
- Analyze malware, network traffic, and logs to identify sophisticated attack vectors
- Develop and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and incident reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Stay current on emerging threats and countermeasures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in security operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Expertise in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and EDR solutions
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and network protocols
- Experience with Linux/Windows security hardening
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents
