Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts, traffic, and system logs to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to ensure system integrity.
- Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents and breaches in a timely manner.
- Enforce security policies, standards, and compliance regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Collaborate with IT operations and development teams to integrate security into the SDLC.
- Generate and present security reports to management regarding system health and incident analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CompTIA Network+.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight) and log analysis.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
