Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and coordinate remediation
- Develop and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and incident response procedures
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and regulatory compliance requirements (NIST, HIPAA)
- Provide security awareness training to staff across client organizations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, threat analysis, or incident response
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms
- Experience with network protocols, TCP/IP, and Windows/Linux systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in high-pressure situations
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
