Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight) to identify and respond to incidents in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits to ensure system integrity.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Investigate security breaches, contain threats, and prepare detailed incident reports for management review.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (NIST, CIS, HIPAA) across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT development teams to integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Provide security awareness training to employees to foster a culture of vigilance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, GSEC, CISSP, or CCNA Security are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a SOC (Security Operations Center) or similar security role.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
