Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities
- Investigate security incidents, determine root causes, and implement effective mitigation strategies
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems and applications
- Develop and maintain comprehensive security documentation, including incident response plans and security policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR standards
- Provide real-time threat intelligence analysis to proactively defend against cyber attacks
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical security incident response
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, SOC, or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency with security tools: SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and endpoint protection solutions
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61) and forensic investigation tools
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations while maintaining meticulous documentation
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
