Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Implement and maintain security controls for cloud and on-premises environments
- Develop incident response plans and conduct tabletop exercises
- Analyze security logs and generate actionable threat intelligence reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO standards
- Document security procedures and maintain security awareness training materials
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms
- Strong knowledge of threat intelligence frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK)
- Experience with incident response and forensic investigation tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently with flexible hours (8am-6pm core availability)
