Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and endpoint protection.
- Manage user access controls and privilege accounts to enforce the principle of least privilege.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
- Prepare and present security reports to management and stakeholders regarding threat landscape and incident analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Professional certification preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GIAC.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and security protocols.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues under pressure.
