Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and investigate alerts to identify potential threats
- Conduct incident response activities including containment, eradication, and recovery procedures
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks, policies, and reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry trends through continuous learning
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms and threat intelligence tools
- Security certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH) preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
