Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for real-time threat detection
- Investigate security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and develop mitigation strategies
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive dashboards
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry standards
- Stay current with emerging threats and countermeasures through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in security operations, threat intelligence, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint security platforms
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud architectures (AWS/Azure), and attack vectors
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize threats under pressure
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel 10% of time
