Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats
- Conduct incident response investigations, including malware analysis and forensic evidence collection
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and runbooks
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and remediation strategies
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC, incident response, or threat detection
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and network security protocols
- Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence methodologies
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
