Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events through SIEM tools to identify, analyze, and respond to security incidents.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as HIPAA, SOC 2, and GDPR.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to design secure network architectures.
- Develop and update incident response plans and security policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Proficiency with security tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, FireEye, Snort).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
