Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems 24/7 for suspicious activity
- Investigate cybersecurity incidents using forensic tools and methodologies
- Develop and implement security controls to mitigate emerging threats
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and CIS frameworks
- Generate detailed incident reports and executive summaries
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Stay current with threat intelligence and zero-day vulnerabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, or Sentinel)
- Experience with threat detection tools (CrowdStrike, Darktrace)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and cloud architecture
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 operations coverage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
