Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to identify and respond to potential cyber incidents
- Conduct forensic investigations on security breaches, malware infections, and network intrusions
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response plans, playbooks, and vulnerability assessments
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls, patches, and system hardening measures
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Stay current with emerging threats and threat intelligence to enhance detection capabilities
- Provide cybersecurity awareness training to employees and stakeholders
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for incident response support
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or SOC environments
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S), and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of threat intelligence frameworks and malware analysis techniques
- Experience with incident response methodologies (NIST SP 800-61, SANS Incident Handling)
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to correlate complex data and prioritize threats
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting to technical and non-technical stakeholders
