Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk/Symantec)
- Conduct threat hunting and vulnerability assessments across enterprise networks
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Perform forensic analysis of security incidents and prepare detailed reports
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incident response
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in security operations, threat detection, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls (Palo Alto/Check Point), and endpoint security
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and common attack vectors
- Experience with security automation tools (Python/PowerShell preferred)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize critical security events
- Remote work experience with strong self-discipline and communication skills
