Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations (NIST, HIPAA)
- Stay current with emerging threats and technologies through continuous research
- Document security incidents, mitigation strategies, and system configurations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and network security tools
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols, network architecture, and cloud security
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
