Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement security incident response plans and procedures
- Perform security audits and compliance checks for regulatory standards (HIPAA, NIST)
- Collaborate with IT teams to deploy and maintain security controls
- Document security incidents, vulnerabilities, and remediation efforts
- Stay current with emerging threats and cybersecurity trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong knowledge of threat intelligence frameworks and malware analysis
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Valid Hawaii driver's license for occasional off-site client visits
