Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activities
- Investigate and respond to security incidents with minimal disruption to business operations
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance network security architectures
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive leadership
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Experience with incident response and forensics methodologies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Valid California driver's license for occasional on-site requirements
