Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to security incidents
- Conduct forensic analysis of security breaches and document detailed incident reports
- Implement vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Collaborate with IT teams to develop and enhance security controls and protocols
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Manage security alerts, triage escalations, and coordinate incident response
- Generate executive security dashboards and compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (preferred)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security, and threat intelligence
- Experience with forensic investigation tools (e.g., EnCase, FTK)
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents and maintain composure
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
