Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cybersecurity incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Investigate security breaches, analyze attack vectors, and implement remediation measures
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend proactive security enhancements
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for incident response support
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required (CEH preferred)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize incidents under pressure
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to work flexible hours including nights/weekends
