Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Analyze security alerts to identify potential breaches and coordinate remediation efforts
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and DoD cybersecurity frameworks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA CySA+
- Proficiency in security tools: SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and cloud security architecture
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (MISP, Recorded Future)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
