Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk/QRadar) to detect and respond to security incidents in real-time
- Conduct forensic investigations of security breaches and generate comprehensive incident reports
- Implement vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and incident response procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Lead threat hunting initiatives using MITRE ATT&CK framework methodologies
- Provide security awareness training to employees and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations with hands-on SIEM/SOAR experience
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and security tools (Wireshark, Nmap)
- Strong analytical skills for threat detection and incident investigation
- Knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architectures
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 security operations environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
