Responsibilities
- Monitor and Detect: Analyze network traffic and system logs using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm) to identify and mitigate security threats in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate the investigation, containment, and eradication of security breaches and cyber-attacks.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify weaknesses in our systems and applications.
- Security Architecture: Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions to enforce security policies.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 through audits and documentation.
- User Training: Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate employees on best practices and phishing prevention.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field is required.
- Certification: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GIAC GSEC certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM platforms, VPNs, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex data and troubleshoot security incidents under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
