Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption protocols)
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA standards
- Document security procedures and create incident response playbooks
- Analyze malware and threat intelligence to strengthen defenses
- Lead security awareness training for employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations with hands-on incident response experience
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and Windows/Linux systems
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architecture
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
