Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and analyze security alerts to detect potential threats
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and document findings
- Implement security controls and protocols to protect network infrastructure
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Develop incident response plans and conduct tabletop drills
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and CIS frameworks
- Generate security reports and executive dashboards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in security operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong understanding of network protocols and cloud security architectures
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
